I started using a camera when I was 6 years old. My dad would take me on his photography trips for a local newspaper as his "second shooter". In reality, I just wasted a ton of film and produced maybe 3 or 4 decent exposures. However, something much more valuable came from the experience. I was introduced to a camera, my favorite tool on this earth. I continued to shoot for fun, for church, and for the school year book among other things. I went on to John Brown University where I studied photography. Now, I get payed to do what I love.
Having the opportunity to pull someone's personality out and onto a print overjoys me. My shoots are fun and laid back. I often tell stupid jokes, hoping to incur laughter and that "genuine" smile. Being extremely unphotogenic myself, I understand the need to lighten the mood and make people be themselves. My work is clean. I work hard to capture the majority of what I want in camera. I am very well versed with photoshop, but I prefer to not have to use it. I want you to see what the day looked like, not how I am able to make it look. I'm am published in publications including M&M Modeling Magazine LLC and Flipic Magazine. I specialize in weddings, but I really just love people. Please feel free to email or call me anytime. I am a nice guy, I promise. If I wasn't I would be a fool for wanting to be a portrait photographer. ;)
